Book into Garden Cottage and the estate is yours to explore. The hill loch has excellent brown trout fishing either from either boat or bank and fly rods and tackle are provided in the cottage for your use during your stay.

Ashintully boasts some of the most stunning scenery to be found in Scotland with an amazing diversity of wildlife. We have a number of adults and children’s bikes that you are welcome to use during your stay but if prefer to walk, on our doorstep is the famous Cateran Trail. The Caterans were cattle thieves who flourished in the Highlands from the Middle Ages until the 17th century and the circular trail covers 64 miles with 5 distinct stages and a mini trail. There are many shorter, less strenuous walks across the estate with fantastic views.

During the winter months, Glenshee ski area offers some fantastic skiing. It's located just 15 miles north (25 mins by car), so you're ideally located to ski early in the day and miss the crowds. Glenshee has 36 runs and 21 lifts and is open 7 days a week from 8.30am – 5.00pm during the season. See www.ski-glenshee.co.uk

There are a number of excellent golf courses in the area including the famous Rosemount championship course at Blairgowrie as well as courses at Braemar, Glenisla and Pitlochry. The nearest course is the relaxed and picturesque 9 hole course at Dalmunzie House Hotel.
